Ayer martes 6 de diciembre se dieron a conocer las nominaciones a los Premios Critics Choice que entrega la Critics Choice Association y en las que ¡GARCÍA!,la ficción creada por Sara Antuña y Carlos de Pando para HBO Max, ha recibido una nominación a mejor serie en lengua extranjera.
¡GARCÍA!, basada en la novela gráfica de Santiago García y Luis Bustos, se enfrenta a 1899, Borgen, Extraordinary Attorney Woo y Kleo (las cuatro de Netflix); The Kingdom Exodus (MUBI), My Brilliant Friend (HBO), Pachinko y Theran (ambas de Apple TV+).
Producida por Zeta Studios para la para Warner Bros. Discovery en España, ¡GARCÍA! se ambienta en una hipotética España actual, en un país dividido y al borde del caos político.
Abbott Elementary de ABC encabeza a los contendientes televisivos con seis nominaciones, incluida la mejor serie de comedia. Le sigue Better Call Saul (AMC) siguió con cinco incluida la de mejor serie dramática.
Los ganadores se darán a conocer en una gala que se emitirá en directo en Estados Unidos por The CW desde el Fairmont Century Plaza en Los Ángeles el domingo 15 de enero de 2023.
